1) Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how EPickup (“Company”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use the EPickup Customer App and related websites (the “Services”). By using the Services, you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2) Information We Collect

a) Identifiers & Account Data

Phone number (for OTP/login), Firebase authentication tokens, device identifiers, optional display name, optional email, optional profile photo.

b) Location Data

Foreground: current location for pickup/delivery selection and tracking during active bookings. Background: location during active bookings only, to enable driver matching and customer tracking.

c) Booking & Transaction Data

Pickup/delivery addresses, package details, booking timestamps/status, payment preference (Cash on Delivery), booking history, receipts/invoices.

d) Payment

Payment method selection (COD) and status. We do not store card/bank/UPI details.

e) Device & Network

Device/advertising ID, model, OS version, mobile/WiFi info, IP, app version/build.

f) Communications

In-app chat with drivers (temporary), push notification tokens, call metadata (if calling feature is used), support messages.

g) Images/Media

Profile photos (if uploaded) and package images (if uploaded), stored securely in Firebase Storage.

h) Usage & Diagnostics

App usage patterns, feature interactions, session duration, crash/error logs, performance metrics (if analytics enabled).

3) How We Collect

Direct: Data you provide during signup, bookings, profile updates, and uploads.

Automatic: Location (with permissions), device/network data, app usage, diagnostics.

Third Parties: Firebase Authentication (phone verification), Google Maps (maps/geocoding), PhonePe (if used for payment workflow), Firebase Analytics (if enabled), Socket.IO backend for real-time updates.

4) How We Use Information

Service delivery: Create/manage accounts, process bookings, match with drivers, provide real-time tracking, send booking/delivery updates.

Payments: Support COD selection and status tracking (no card/bank storage).

Communication: Notifications, in-app chat, support responses, important service updates.

Safety & fraud: Identity verification, abuse/fraud detection, platform security.

Improvement: Usage analysis, performance and reliability improvements.

Legal: Compliance with applicable laws and lawful requests.

5) Sharing & Disclosure

Service providers: Firebase (auth, Firestore, Storage, Messaging, Analytics if enabled), Google Maps (maps/geocoding), backend hosting (Railway) including Socket.IO real-time services.

Drivers: Your name/phone, pickup and delivery details, and live location during active bookings to enable delivery.

Legal: Law enforcement or legal requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

Business transfers: In mergers/acquisitions, data may be transferred to the new entity.

We do not: Sell personal data or share location data for advertising.

6) Data Retention

Account: Kept while active; deleted within 30 days after deletion request.

Bookings: Records retained up to 7 years for accounting/tax; location data for active bookings deleted after 90 days.

Payments: COD preference retained with booking records; no card/bank data stored.

Chat: Temporary during active booking; removed within 30 days after completion.

Analytics: Aggregated up to 2 years; identifiers removed after ~90 days.

7) Security

TLS/SSL in transit; industry-standard protections at rest; restricted access; logging; encrypted Firebase storage for media. You are responsible for securing your device and not sharing OTPs/tokens.

8) Your Choices

Access/Correct: View and update profile details and booking history in-app or via support.

Delete: Delete account in-app or email epickupofficial@gmail.com; processed within 30 days unless legally required to retain certain records.

Location: Manage permissions in device settings; core booking/tracking requires location.

Notifications: Manage push notification settings; you may opt out of promotional messages.

Analytics: Contact us to request disabling analytics where feasible.

9) Children

The Service is not intended for users under 18. If we learn we collected data from a minor, we will delete it.

10) Data Transfers

Data may be processed in India (primary) and via Firebase infrastructure, which can involve international transfers, subject to applicable laws.

11) Cookies & Tracking

We may use device identifiers and similar technologies for functionality and, if enabled, analytics. Third parties (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Google Maps) may also use identifiers to improve their services.

12) Changes

We may update this Policy. We will revise the “Last Updated” date and may notify you for significant changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.

14) India Data Protection

We align with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and other applicable laws.

15) International Users

If you are in the EU/EEA or another region with data rights, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, or restriction. To exercise these, contact epickupofficial@gmail.com.

16) Data Deletion Requests

Email epickupofficial@gmail.com with subject “Data Deletion Request” and include your phone number/account email and what you want deleted. We will process within 30 days, subject to legal retention needs.
