How to Request Account Deletion
To delete your EPickup Customer account and associated data, please email us at:
Email: epickupofficial@gmail.com
Subject Line: "Account Deletion Request - Customer App"
Required Information
Please include the following details in your email:
- Your registered phone number
- Your full name (as registered in the app)
- Confirmation that you are a Customer (not a Driver)
- Reason for account deletion (optional, but helps us improve our service)
What Data Will Be Deleted?
Once your account deletion request is verified, we will permanently delete the following data:
Account & Profile Information
- Account profile (name, email, phone number)
- Profile photo
- Firebase authentication tokens and credentials
- Device authentication identifiers
Location & Address Data
- All saved addresses (home, work, and custom addresses)
- Recent address history
- Location data collected during active bookings
- Background location tracking data
Booking & Transaction Data
- Booking history and records
- Pickup and delivery addresses from past bookings
- Package details and descriptions
- Booking timestamps and status updates
Communication Data
- Real-time chat messages with drivers
- In-app chat history
- Push notification tokens
- Support communication records
Real-Time Services Data
- WebSocket connection data
- Real-time tracking session data
- Driver location tracking data
- Active booking tracking information
Media & Images
- Profile photos stored in Firebase Storage
- Package images uploaded during bookings
App Settings & Preferences
- Payment method preferences
- App settings and configurations
- Notification preferences
- Cached data and local storage
Data Temporarily Retained
Some data may be retained for legal, accounting, or operational reasons (up to 180 days or as required by law):
- Completed delivery receipts: Retained for accounting and tax purposes (up to 7 years as per Indian tax regulations)
- Transaction/payment records: Retained for financial record-keeping and dispute resolution
- Fraud prevention logs: Retained to prevent abuse and ensure platform security
- Legal compliance records: Retained as required by applicable laws and regulations
Note: After the retention period, this data will also be permanently deleted.
Processing Time
Account deletion requests are processed within 7–14 business days from the date we receive your verified request.
You will receive a confirmation email once your account and data have been deleted.
Important Notes
Active Bookings
If you have an active booking in progress, please wait until the delivery is completed before requesting account deletion. We cannot delete accounts with active bookings for safety and operational reasons.
Real-Time Services
When your account is deleted, all real-time services will be immediately disconnected, including:
- WebSocket connections for live tracking
- Real-time driver location updates
- Active booking notifications
- In-app chat sessions
Cannot Be Undone
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once deleted, you will need to create a new account if you wish to use EPickup services again in the future.
Alternative: Data Export
Before deleting your account, you may request a copy of your data. To request a data export, email us at epickupofficial@gmail.com with the subject "Data Export Request - Customer App".
